JTEKT Announces First Manufacturing Plant in Mexico
Nagoya, Japan, December 24, 2013 – JTEKT CORPORATION (JTEKT; Headquarters; Nagoya, Japan; President: Tetsuo Agata) is pleased to announce the establishment of manufacturing facility in Mexico named “JTEKT AUTOMOTIVE MEXICO, S.A. DE C.V. (hereafter JAMX) in February 2014.
In response to the recent growth of automobile industry in Mexico, JAMX will start manufacturing of Electric Power Steering (hereafter EPS). This enables us to respond swiftly and adequately to the customer’s needs in Mexico.
JAMX is to produce stable and high quality EPS to contribute to the development of automobile industry in Mexico by making use of engineering and production know-how of EPS which we cultivated in Japan and worldwide.
